On July 4, the third large-scale graduation "Thank you, Minin University!" was held at Minin Square. In 2019, in its 106th educational season, the university gives diplomas to more than 1,600 undergraduate and graduate students. Rector Alexander Fedorov, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy Sergey Zlobin, Deputy Head of the Administration of Nizhny Novgorod Lyubov Sachkova, Director of the State TV and Radio Company Nizhny Novgorod Nazariy Zeleny and others took part in the ceremony.
The first part of the event was unofficial. The students enjoyed the equipped photo zones, the instaprinter was available, providing an opportunity to print photos instantly. Guests were met by the host, who is also a university graduate, Dj Minin, and local bands. They held competitions with yesterday's students, organized flash mobs, and held a lottery for prizes from the university. As usual, graduates received medals from Minin University, which were most often seen in photographs on social networks.
The official part of the event began with a drum show, after which Rector of the Minin University, Alexander Fedorov, welcomed the graduates as his newly-made colleagues. He thanked them for active participation in the life of the university and the development of both the university and the region over the past years, he wished them success at the start of a career, but also warned:
“We must be prepared for the fact that no one is waiting for you. You will need to prove your competence and professionalism again and again. And do not think that this is your only diploma. This is your first higher education, but you have to learn all through your life. And remember, you can be called a teacher only while you are learning. "
“I will allow myself to disagree a little with Alexander Fedorov, who said that nobody is waiting for you,”- Sergey Zlobin continued, - "we are waiting for you. I would even say we are inviting you. And I am absolutely sure that in the educational system that is being built now, there will be a place for each of you with those interesting thoughts and new professions that you were able to master and receive. Now there is the moment when you need to look around and answer one simple question: “How can I be of help to society?”
“On behalf of the head of the city, Vladimir Panov, and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on the graduation of a new generation of teachers. Today Minin University inspires you on a long way of professional growth. I want to express my gratitude to your teachers and parents, because it was them who supported you all these years, they assisted in your professional development”, - Lyubov Sachkova made a speech.
"Today one of the very important stages in your life finishes, when you could study yourselves, to grasp the knowledge, and a new stage starts, when you will continue to study, but you will have to share your knowledge as well. The profession of a teacher is very rewarding profession, and the future of our country, in many respects, depends on you"- concluded Nazariy Zeleny.
Certainly, the graduates of the 106th educational season expressed their gratitude as well:

For the high level of professional knowledge which we gained from our teachers every day. For an opportunity to be directly involved in the organization of the National projects, for an opportunity to work with true professionals of the business and to master in various areas of life", - Ekaterina Mitkina, the graduate of faculty of natural, mathematical and computer sciences.

- scholars of the Government of the Russian Federation;
- winners of the All-Russian contest on professional pedagogics;
- the acting producers and designers;
- the world class master of sports on sambo, the World champion among students, the winner of an European cup – Alexander Tunakov;
- the champion of Europe in karate is Irina Adamyan.
