Duan Zhi Yang, Zhang Xi Jia and Feng Yazhun, three students from our partner, Xi’an Fanyi University, will be studying Russian language and culture during the semester.
Zhang Xi Jia:
“We arrived in Nizhny Novgorod at the end of February, on March 1. We began classes on Russian and English as foreign languages, and Russian literature and poetry, history and regional geography. This is only my first year of studying Russian. I think that Minin will help us master this complex language. In a month we learned a lot of new things. In the future, we will be translators from Russian into Chinese, in the province where I come from, this profession is very promising.”
Duan Ji Yang:
“We decided to come to Minin after positive feedback from past program participants. I wanted to learn a living language, being in the language environment. Our main goal is to find friends and succeed in learning Russian. For us, Russia is a powerful country with a rich culture that it is interesting to study. We want to go to Shchelokovsky farm and see a Russian-style house, visit the M. Gorky Museum and the Rukavishnikov estate. By the way, we already went to the Art Museum, were delighted. "
Minin University students from the “English + Chinese” directions in FGN, volunteered to acquaint the guests with the city. They will show them the main attractions, help them to adapt to the new language environment and quickly master the Russian language. It is also a good experience of mentoring and practicing Chinese for our students.
The students from China are integrated into educational activities and social life. They plan to take part in the festival of the peoples of the world, which will be held the 17th of April in building No. 7. Beginning at 11:00, we invite everyone! The tudents from China promised to share the secrets of their culinary skills and will cook Chinese spicy chicken.
