The Rector of Minin University, Alexander Fedorov, accompanied by advisors to the president Olga Kim and Eugene Zakablukovsky, and Chief Director of Pedagogy Elena Ilaldinova, visited The Education University of Hong Kong. The visit took place from February 27th to March 2nd.
The Education University of Hong Kong ranks second in Asia and ninth in the world among pedagogical universities, according to the current QS World University Rankings.
During the trip, representatives from Minin University and President Stephen Y.L. Cheung, the Deputy Vice President, and deans of The Education University of Hong Kong decided to collaborate on developing three pedagogical programs. Two of the programs will concentrate on education research and the third will train students to be teachers.
Next month, from April 3rd to April 5th, a delegation from The Education University of Hong Kong will come to Minin University. Their visit will coincide with Minin University’s symposium on teaching foreign languages called “Language Education Today: West-Russia-East.” The symposium will take place from April 3rd to April 5th with the following schedule:
- On April 3rd and 4th, Minin University will host training seminars for English teachers in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
- On April 5th, the conference will open up to professors outside of Nizhny Novgorod. The discussion topic on that day will be “Language Education in the Modern World.”
